Overview

The participants will be introduced to the capabilities of TSO and ISPF.
They will also be taught how to use the SDSF facilities.
This is an entry-level classroom course and should be supplemented with machine exercises.

Participants will learn how to -

Log on to TSO and log off.

Make use of ISPF primary menu and key fields.

Use ISPF to create, edit, view and browse datasets.

Use ISPF utilities.

Use SDSF for TSO batch jobs.

Basic features of TSO, ISPF and transaction managers.

Application programmers who are new to TSO ISPF/PDF are the primary audience for this course. This is an entry level course and is not meant for experienced mainframe professionals.

Data processing concepts.
Large systems’ overview.
